Gun Violence Prevention in Action: Community Conversation with Parkland FL Mayor

Mayor Hunschofsky will visit Central Falls, RI on Monday, April 8th to share her experiences dealing with the tragic mass shooting incident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and how her community came together to support victims and advocate for school and gun safety legislation.

Mayor Hunschofsky is visiting as a guest of Central Falls Mayor James Diossa, both of whom are active with the U.S. Conference of Mayors which has advocated for measures to better safeguard schools and reduce gun violence. Mayor Hunschofsky, Mayor Diossa and Central Falls police, school, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense-RI Chapter and community leaders will participate in community conversation moderated by WPRI-12’s Caroline Goggin.
