RICAGV Endorses

Rep. Carlos Tobon for House District 58

RICAGV endorses Governor Gina Raimondo in 2018

The son of Columbia immigrants, Carlos Tobon was born and raised in Pawtucket. A member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Carlos has been civic-minded from a young age, co-founding Boy Scouts Troop #3 Central Falls at the age of 13, and serving as U.S. Senate Page at age 17. He is still committed to community services, working with Books Are Wings, The United Way of RI, and the Elisha Project.

His beautiful wife, Alejandra and one-year-old son Carlos Estaban, reinforce and motivate his advocating for traditional Democratic values, including his support for:

  • Women and child’s health and safety
  • Extending existing law to benefit our local Craft Brewery industry
  • Fair and equitable social justice reform
  • A comprehensive approach to homelessness and food assistance
  • Economic redevelopment in local communities
